Food marker in black, or paint brush and black food coloring
Place the pre-made cake in a bowl and using your hands crumble it up till very fine.
Add the frosting till the batter starts to hold together. Add a little more at a time if it is not holding.
Grab a spoonful of cake and roll into a ball in the palm of your hands to tighten the mixture.
Then place the mixture in the cake pop mold to form any shape. I like to spray the mold with cooking spray to make it easier when taking out.
I used a heart shape cake pop mold. Press down and remove the overflow. Remove the heart with your hands or hold upside down to fall in your hand.
Place the hearts in the fridge for 3-5 minutes.
Place all the colors separately in a bowl. Then add 1 tsp of vegetable oil to each bowl to make smooth. Melt the candy melts in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then back in for another 30 seconds, and stir. Continue until all melts are melted.
Take the hearts out of the fridge and using the popsicle stick, dip the tip in the chocolate. Tap off the dripping chocolate and insert the stick in the bottom of the heart, going half way to meet the center. Then place back in the fridge for 3-5 minutes.
Once chocolate has hardened your cake pop should stay on the stick when you start dipping it into the chocolate.
Dip all the hearts into your choice of color chocolate.
Tap off the excess chocolate. Let dry on a cake pop stand. Or place on wax paper.
Let them dry 4-5 minutes.
Using your editable food marker, write your love letters on the hearts. (MY LOVE, HUGS, TRUE LOVE….)
Or make black food coloring and use a small paint brush to write on the hearts.
